Andrew described his time at Sunderland College enjoyable, challenging and enriching. After progressing to the University of Sunderland he moved into the education sector. He is now a teacher and part of the management team leading maths at New Penshaw Academy.
Andrew said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College because of the opportunities that the College offers. The best thing about the College was the positive and supportive relationship between staff and students. It was a wonderful atmosphere at the campus I attended.
The best thing about the course was the opportunities that arose for extra-curricular activities, and how it sets you up for employment within the arts and beyond. I took part in a movement company and drama club, both of which, provided me with the confidence and ability to problem solve – something I have since transferred into my current employment.
The staff were brilliant and really took the time to allow students to become who they wanted to be.”
