Nathan Ramsay

Nathan described his time at Sunderland College as memorable, engaging and inspiring. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at the college and described the teachers as the best support network he’d ever had in education. Nathan went straight onto study a BSc in Biology at Newcastle University.

He said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College as after attending open days for several colleges in the area, the staff at Sunderland were by far the most friendly and passionate about their subject areas.

The college was a fantastic place to learn and the casual approach to academic life, particularly the varied timetable allowed me to prepare properly for the next step in my education.

The teachers were hugely supportive throughout and helped everyone to achieve their own individual targets. Without them, I wouldn’t have achieved the grades I needed to get into university.”

Nathan has since completed a Master’s degree in Industrial & Commercial Biotechnology at Newcastle University and is now studying a PhD at Durham University.
