A former Sunderland College art student has become a social media star after sharing her incredible make-up transformations.
Shannon Farrer has been sharing her artistic skills on TikTok, turning herself into characters such as Harley Quinn and a superhero NHS nurse, with her videos receiving almost 500,000 views.
In December, Shannon’s recreation of the Grinch was shared by influencer Parker Riley to his millions of followers.
Shannon told Chronicle Live: “I have always done these looks, but I never used to do anything with them. I would take photos but not post them anywhere.
“My friend told me I should make a make-up account on Instagram so I did and it went really well. Then I thought I’d try TikTok and it just blew up. I didn’t expect the reaction, it was amazing.”
The talented 23-year-old hopes one day to work in the film industry but admits it has been difficult to achieve her dream.
She added: “It’s such a hard industry to get into, most of the jobs are in London and I live in Sunderland. Before Covid, I was going to go down there but it was hard getting time off to go.”
