Natalie described her time at Sunderland College as rewarding, challenging and supportive. She is now studying cellular and molecular biology at Newcastle University.
She said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College because it had a good reputation and the staff were friendly and supportive during the open days that I attended.
I liked the close knit community feel within the College. The staff were always happy to help, and constantly motivated and supported you.
The best thing about the course was the variety of options I had in A-Levels, which really worked for me as I could mix and match subjects and didn’t have to commit to one subject of study. I also studied EPQ, which really benefited my transition to university: It allowed me to develop my confidence in writing academic reports and referencing. I also was able to spend time studying a specific topic that I was really interested in!”
