Alex studied music at Sunderland College and described his experience as fun, engaging and unique. He progressed to drama school and is now a Production Manager in Australia. He has returned to the College to deliver a masterclass to current music students.
He said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College because of the good reputation and the staff. I liked the opportunities that we had access to and the staff who had industry experience. The best thing about the course was being able to do cross-collaborative projects, such as working with the drama team to manage their lights, sounds and special effects. I also performed in a large number of music performances.
I was based at the old campus at Shiney Row but now I have seen the Arts Academy facilities, I am amazed what the students have access to. My experience at Sunderland College was fun, engaging and unique.”
Alex progressed to study Technical Theatre at East 15 Acting School and is now working and living in Melbourne, Australia, as a Production Manager for an internationally renowned touring theatre company.
