Working with children is one of the most rewarding and satisfying careers and no two days are the same.
To work in this sector, you will need to be able to use your initiative and have lots of patience. You also need to be friendly and enthusiastic and have a warm and inspiring attitude that children will respond to and feel nurtured and happy.
You will study this subject full time at Bede Campus and will have access to a state-of-the-art Health Hub, simulation area for role plays and virtual babies for hands on, simulated experience of caring for a baby.
We work with the following employers to help you gain real work skills: Sunderland Council, Pennywell Early Years, Cestria Primary School, Houghton Community Nursery, Riverside Children’s Centre, Bamburgh School.
