Jamie described Sunderland College as interesting, exciting and career-focused.
While studying at the college, Jamie took part in extra-curricular activities to complement his learning.
He said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Sunderland College and everything about my course. I’ve had loads of opportunities to develop my social and leadership skills and have found the course really interesting.
“I’ve always been interested in art and have always known what I’ve wanted to do for a career and Sunderland College is getting me closer to making that a reality.”
Jamie, who was nominated for a Young Achiever’s Award while studying at Sunderland College went on to win an award at the College’s end of year celebration for his time volunteering at a homeless shelter in Silksworth.
He is now progressing to the University of Sunderland to study Illustration.
