Emma described her time at Sunderland College as successful, enjoyable and knowledgeable. She studied a professional qualification part-time to enable her to change careers.
She said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College as it was local and evening classes were available. The lecturers were friendly and helpful. The course wasn’t too intense and I could apply the knowledge I learnt to my current job role. There was a good atmosphere and great facilities.
My aim is to be a qualified accountant. I originally began studying at Sunderland College whilst working as an assistant manager in a pub with the intention of moving into the finance sector. A job opportunity arose through the college, which I applied for and was successful. I wouldn’t have moved jobs so quickly if it hadn’t been for Sunderland College.”
Emma is now Assistant Accountant at Opsec Security Limited.
