Margaret progressed from the Level 3 Award in Education and Training to Level 4. She wanted to gain a recognised qualification that would support her future career change. She described Sunderland College as inspiring, engaging and motivational.
She said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College due to the central location. I liked the course content and lecturers with in depth knowledge and skills. The best thing about the course was the lecturers’ ability to relay relevant information in supportive and inspiring ways.
I have been employed by HMRC for the last 28 years as Customer Service manager for ten staff. I was looking for a new challenge and to utilise my transferrable skills. I work three days a week at HMRC and I am also employed via an agency for two days a week as a Progression and Development Tutor at Sunderland College. It provided the ideal platform to utilise my skills and knowledge to support students and bridge gaps in their education.”
Margaret is now a Progression and Development Tutor at Sunderland College.
