Sunderland College business students recently attended the Northern Power Futures event to take part in networking, workshops and seminars.
The students were able to meet industry experts from the world of business, particularly those with North East links. This meant they were able to gain insight in the types of businesses in the North East, and gain a better understanding of progression routes available to them following on from college.
Cat Meynell, Sunderland College Tutor said:
“Northern Power Futures was a great opportunity for our business students to explore progression pathways after the completion of their time at college. We received excellent feedback from business representatives, who said that they were really impressed with our students, and how they had shown such a keen interest in opportunities that were available to them. Hopefully, the students who attended will be feeling inspired and motivated to continue working hard, to achieve great success in the future.”
Scott Grewcock, BTEC Business student said:
“The event was a great experience, it was great to speak to industry experts and to learn about the different opportunities available for after college.”
Debrah Dhugga, Managing Director of Dukes Collection added:
“Dreams come true but you have to actually work hard to get there”.
