A head start on your career
Sunderland College barbering students recently made the trip down to the NEC in Birmingham.
Visiting the NEC trade show meant that the students were able to spend time look at trade stands to find equipment at a discounted price, experience barbering demos from professionals in the industry to pick up helpful hints and see new products and trends.
Mark Sowerby Sunderland College Barbering Lecturer said:
“It was great for the learners to experience this popular trade show, along with seeing all of the fantastic products on offer they were able look at all of the new up and coming trends in the industry. ”
Jason Early, Sunderland College Barbering Level 2 student added:
“I really enjoyed out trip to Birmingham, it was great to spend some time off campus together and I managed to get some new scissors at a reduced rate which was a bonus!”
Students from Sunderland College and Northumberland College recently went head-to-head in an inter-college barbering competition.
