Sunderland College childcare students recently participated in a Clubbercise session with Fi-erce Dance and Fitness.
The level 2 students took part in the physical exercise session to help them gain a greater understanding of how they can support and promote healthy lifestyles for children through exercise and by participating themselves.
In the session, the students gained knowledge and understanding of the importance of making exercise fun and enjoying themselves. The experience and knowledge they gained will now be transferred to the theory work they at scheduled to complete in class.
Emma Little, Sunderland College Early Years Lecturer said:
“This activity enabled our Level 2 learners to understand that exercise can be fun and enjoyable. This will allow them to transfer the skills and understanding into practice when working with children, enabling them to understand the benefits of exercise.”
